Full job description

HMF Ltd are a Southampton based commercial fit out company currently seeking a contract manager to join our team.

Your duties will include.

▪ Preparing quotations for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business

▪ Developing and presenting project proposals

▪ Meeting with clients to find out their requirements

▪ Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales

▪ Completing the take-off for a wide range of projects

▪ Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients

▪ Liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain quotes for labour and materials required for each project

▪ Managing programmes and budgets including contract variations if required

▪ To start off jobs on site and also to attend site meetings to monitor progress

▪ Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers

▪ Working with third party sub-contractors to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities

▪ Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical and quality standards

▪ Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, and the client’s own representatives

▪ Overseeing invoicing throughout the project cycle

Desirable skills and knowledge for a contracts manager include:

A strong understanding of the construction industry and all aspects of commercial refurbishment
Strong leadership skills
The ability to use your initiative
Good verbal communication skills
Driving license essential.

Salary depending on experience
