Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, supporting food preparation, and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly. This position is essential for providing high-quality service in a fast-paced environment, whether in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Bussing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and presentable.
Support banquet services by preparing and setting up food stations.
Handle food safely and follow all health regulations regarding food storage and preparation.
Assist with cooking tasks as needed, ensuring high standards of quality are met.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Perform general cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
Experience in bussing, serving, or catering is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on hospitality.
Willingness to learn and adapt to various kitchen roles as needed.
