Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills while working in a vibrant, welcoming setting. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working with people and have an interest in coffee and food service.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Handle customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly service at all times.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals as required.
Manage cash register operations, including processing payments and giving correct change.
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote products or specials.

Skills

Proven barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices to ensure hygiene compliance.
Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
Ability to perform food preparation tasks accurately and swiftly.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations.
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
