Medicines Counter Assistant (Part-Time) — Dysart Pharmacy

About us

Dysart Pharmacy is an award-winning independent community pharmacy and part of the Wellbeing Pharmacies Group. We're committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to our local community, with a genuine focus on patient wellbeing and outstanding customer service.

The role

We're looking for a friendly, reliable Medicines Counter Assistant to join our team part-time. You'll often be the first person our customers meet, so a warm, helpful manner is just as important as attention to detail.

Pharmacy experience is welcome but not essential — if you're keen to learn and enjoy helping people, we'll give you the training you need, including the accredited Medicines Counter Assistant course.

What you'll do

Welcome customers and provide excellent service at the medicines counter
Advise on over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products, referring to the pharmacist where appropriate
Process sales and handle customer queries in line with our standard operating procedures
Support the dispensary and wider team with day-to-day tasks
Help keep the pharmacy well-stocked, tidy, and welcoming
Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible experience for our customers

About you

Pharmacy or retail experience (preferable but not essential)
Willing to complete the accredited Medicines Counter Assistant training
Friendly, approachable, and genuinely enjoys helping people
Reliable and punctual
Methodical and accurate, with good attention to detail
Trustworthy, with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality
A positive, can-do team player
Comfortable using a computer
Fluent in written and spoken English
