Fire Stopping Technical Manager
Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of passive fire protection projects, TF Jones is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Stopping Technical Manager to lead our Fire Stopping division.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who combines strong operational management with commercial awareness and technical expertise. Reporting directly to the Director, you'll take ownership of the division, leading a team of Supervisors and Fire Stoppers while ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time and profitably.

The Role
You'll be responsible for leading the operational and commercial performance of our Fire Stopping division, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating and developing Supervisors and site teams
- Planning labour and resources to maximise productivity
- Delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget
- Managing divisional profitability and achieving gross margin targets
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working closely with Commercial, Procurement, SHEQ and Operations teams
- Monitoring project performance and implementing improvements
- Driving quality standards and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
- Leading FIRAS and other compliance audits
- Supporting business growth through operational excellence and continuous improvement
We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced operational leader who enjoys developing people, improving performance and delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential
- Proven management experience within Passive Fire Protection or Fire Stopping
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Experience managing multiple projects and operational teams
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong client relationship management experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Desirable
- FIRAS knowledge or experience
- Passive Fire Protection qualifications
- Experience working with Housing Associations, Local Authorities or Public Sector clients
- Management qualification (ILM, CMI or equivalent)
