Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Temporary Cafe Team Leader, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring smooth daily operations within our bustling cafe environment. This energetic leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, manage a dynamic team, and create memorable experiences for our guests. As a key driver of the cafe's success, you'll oversee food preparation, uphold food safety standards, and motivate your team to deliver top-tier hospitality with enthusiasm and professionalism. This post includes weekends

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the cafe team to ensure efficient food preparation, serving, and overall customer service.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including baking, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and provide coaching to foster a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold quality standards across all food and beverage offerings.
Support the onboarding and training of new team members in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
Daily cash and card reconcilliation
Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain excellent guest satisfaction.

Experience

Proven supervising or team management experience within a restaurant, cafe, or hospitality setting.
Strong background in food service, cooking, and food safety protocols.
Hands-on experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel service environments.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Familiarity with serving techniques, hospitality standards, and barista experience is a plus.
Previous experience in restaurant or cafe environments that require multitasking under pressure.
Knowledge of health regulations related to food safety and sanitation practices.
