Overview

Our partner are seeking a dedicated and energetic Senior Residential Young Persons Care Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will lead the delivery of high-quality care and support to young individuals in a residential setting, fostering a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment. Your leadership will ensure that each young person’s unique needs are met through tailored care plans, effective supervision, and compassionate communication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young people’s lives while developing your leadership skills within a supportive organization committed to excellence.

Duties

Lead and supervise a team of care workers to deliver consistent, person-centered care tailored to each young person’s needs
Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans in collaboration with young people, their families, and multidisciplinary teams
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, promoting best practices in residential care and safeguarding procedures
Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents by maintaining a secure environment and adhering to health and safety regulations
Facilitate engaging activities that promote personal development, independence, and social skills among young residents
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and progress reports using IT systems efficiently
Drive continuous improvement by participating in team meetings, training sessions, and quality assurance processes

Skills

Proven experience in senior care or supervisory roles within a care home or residential setting for young people
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with young people, families, colleagues, and external agencies
Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that reflect individual needs and aspirations
Valid driving license to facilitate transportation needs for outings or appointments as required
Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
Knowledge of safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and best practices in residential youth care
