Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. As a Commis Chef, you will work closely with senior chefs to prepare high-quality food, uphold food safety standards, and support the smooth operation of our busy kitchen environment. Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
Support food production processes by preparing ingredients, garnishes, and accompaniments efficiently and accurately
Follow established recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency across all menu items
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations
Contribute to team efforts by collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Support supervising staff in managing daily kitchen operations and maintaining a positive work environment
Serve dishes with professionalism, ensuring presentation standards are met and customer satisfaction is achieved

Skills

Proven interest or experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments
Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards in a professional kitchen
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership potential
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow instructions clearly
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Basic culinary skills including knife handling, ingredient preparation, and cooking techniques
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
