Tyre Technician Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with vehicles. As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on various types of vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

Inspect and assess tyre condition, including tread depth and wear patterns.
Remove and replace tyres on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment.
Balance wheels to ensure smooth operation and reduce vibration.
Repair punctures and other damage to tyres as necessary.
Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering advice on tyre care and maintenance.
Adhere to safety protocols while performing tasks to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to tyre installation and repair.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling tyres and equipment.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
