Full job description

Hotel Endsleigh is searching for a Housekeeping Assistant with a good eye for detail and who is looking for a hands-on, physically demanding role

With the nature of the industry you will be required to work throughout any given time of the year.

The hotel is situated in an idyllic location in Milton Abbot, Tavistock, on a stretch of the River Tamar and close to Dartmoor.

Key responsibilities include:

To provide daily servicing and turndown of guest bedrooms.
To assist in the daily cleaning of all public areas including corridors.
To assist in the daily laundry operation of the hotel as required by the Head Housekeeper.
To work alone as well as part of the team in order to ensure that all daily tasks are performed and completed within expected timescales.
To ensure that you meet expected standards of uniform presentation, grooming and personal hygiene.
Respond to any guest requests in order to exceed expectations.
To be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of all guest facilities and services.
To ensure effective communication between Housekeeping, Maintenance, Porters and the Reception Team, therefore providing a high level of service to our guests.
To report any maintenance defects relating to guest rooms and public areas to the Head Housekeeper for follow up.
To ensure that all Housekeeping storage areas are maintained in an orderly, safe and hygienic state at all times.

This is a part-time, zero-hour role which may become permanent for the right candidate. The housekeeping department operates from 7.00am until 9.00pm every day. Weekly hours will be dependent on the needs of the department and so flexibility is essential.

Salary: Up to £15.65 (including tips).

Hourly rate: £12.75-13.25 per hour (dependent upon age and experience).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.75-£13.25 per hour
