About Us

Dawlish Warren Pharmacy is a friendly, independent community pharmacy committed to providing outstanding patient care. We pride ourselves on delivering a personal, professional service to our local community while offering a wide range of NHS and private pharmacy services.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Dispenser to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to make a real difference in the community.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, following all safety protocols and legal requirements
Verify prescription details, dosage instructions, and patient information to prevent errors and ensure medication safety
Assist patients with medication administration guidance and answer their questions about prescriptions and over-the-counter products
Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications, inventory levels, and patient interactions to ensure compliance and traceability
Support the pharmacy team in managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and organizing medication storage for efficiency
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify prescription details or resolve any discrepancies promptly
Uphold all health and safety standards, including proper handling of pharmaceuticals and maintaining a clean workspace

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work accurately in a busy environment.
A positive, reliable and friendly attitude.
A commitment to delivering excellent patient care.

Desirable:

Previous experience working in a community pharmacy.
NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
Experience using pharmacy dispensing systems.
Medicines Counter Assistant qualification.
