Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals within our community? West Berkshire Council is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Locality Team within the Adult Social Care Service, reporting to the Locality Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing high-quality social care services to adults.

About the Role

As a Social Worker within the Locality Team, you will be responsible for:

Conducting assessments of individual needs and ensuring appropriate support is provided.
Working collaboratively with individuals, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Providing advice, guidance, and support to individuals to promote their independence and wellbeing.
Ensuring the safeguarding of vulnerable individuals by identifying and addressing risks.
Maintaining accurate and timely records of interventions and progress.
Attending and contributing to multi-disciplinary meetings and reviews.

You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals, working together to deliver exceptional care and support to the local community.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Qualified Social Worker with appropriate registration (e.g. HCPC).
Experience working in an adult social care setting, ideally within a Local Authority.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent assessment and intervention skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
