Trainee Project Manager – Sales & Marketing
Chelmsford | Full-Time | Monday–Friday

We're looking for a Trainee Project Manager to join our growing team. From day one, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting live sales and marketing campaigns while learning how successful client projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop valuable project management, leadership, and commercial skills while building a long-term career with genuine progression opportunities.

Please Note: This isn't a traditional office-based Project Management role. This is a client-facing opportunity where you'll learn how to manage sales and marketing campaigns, coordinate project activity, lead teams, and deliver successful client campaigns.

The Role

You'll begin by learning how successful client campaigns are delivered, gaining first-hand experience in customer acquisition, campaign execution, communication, and client expectations.

As your confidence grows, you'll begin supporting project planning, coordinating campaign activity, monitoring performance, and working alongside experienced managers to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

As you progress, you'll take on increasing responsibility, learning how to manage client campaigns, coordinate teams, monitor results, and contribute to business growth.

Your Progression Journey

Stage 1 – Campaign Delivery

Learn how client campaigns are delivered
Develop communication and customer engagement skills
Understand campaign objectives and client expectations
Build confidence working within high-performing teams

Stage 2 – Project Coordination

Support campaign planning and organisation
Coordinate day-to-day project activity
Monitor campaign performance and project timelines
Assist with team development and operational planning

Stage 3 – Project Management

Manage client campaigns from planning through to delivery
Lead and develop campaign teams
Build strong client relationships
Support business growth through successful project delivery

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the delivery of live client sales and marketing campaigns
Coordinating campaign activity across multiple projects
Working alongside experienced Project Managers
Monitoring campaign performance and identifying improvements
Managing priorities, deadlines, and project schedules
Supporting recruitment, coaching, and team development
Building strong relationships with customers and colleagues
Helping deliver successful client campaigns and business growth
