Join our staff team as a Keyworker

We are looking for a caring and professional person to join our incredible staff team who has some experience of working within Drug and Alcohol services or similar fields such as Offender Services, Mental Health or Homeless Charities. Graduates are welcome to apply who have relevant degrees in this sector.

Kenward Trust at Yalding provides primary stage residential treatment to residents who are experiencing difficulties as a consequence of drug and alcohol misuse. We pride ourselves that we work with a trauma informed, person centred approach with the 12 Step Programme, SMART and Recovery Model. These interventions are led by a Consultant Addictions Psychiatrist.

We wish to recruit an individual who can effectively participate in the delivery of those high-quality evidence based therapeutic interventions. They should have a passion to make a positive impact and empower our residents to transform their lives.

A Keyworker is responsible for:

Ensuring the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents. They do not provide the therapeutic interventions which is the role of the therapeutic staff.

Ensuring the individual daily living requirements and treatment needs of residents are met.

Responsibility for a personal caseload of residents, ensuring their active engagement with their recovery programme.

This post is a permanent 37.5 hour a week role

Based on a 8 week rolling rota of 3 x 12.5 hour shifts from Monday – Sunday inclusive

Shifts start at 7.45am and finish at 8.15pm

A Keyworker is a demanding but rewarding role and candidates need to be able to work well under pressure, be able to think quickly and use their own initiative. We require strong team players who can build positive relationships and embrace diversity
