Tucked away near Lennoxtown with open countryside all around, Finniescroft Farm is more than just a home. It is a place where children and young people can feel part of something, with space to grow and people to support them. We create a homely, therapeutic environment where young people can build confidence, explore new opportunities, and enjoy being involved in the community around them.

Join our residential childcare team and play an important role in supporting children and young people to reach their full potential. Working within a structured and supportive environment, you will help provide high-quality care that promotes safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

What you will do

Deliver high-quality care in line with policies, standards and best practice
Support children and young people with routines, education and personal development
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Contribute to assessments, care planning and outcome-focused reviews
Safeguard and advocate for children and young people at all times
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
Maintain accurate records and reports

About you

You will have a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people and an understanding of the challenges they may face. You will be emotionally resilient, able to work effectively under pressure and confident in building positive professional relationships. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality care. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People). SSSC registration and PVG Scheme membership are required for this role.
