Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills across various trades, including joinery, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse building projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Carry out joinery tasks such as framing, fitting, and finishing work with precision.
Perform roofing repairs and installations, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
Conduct construction painting to meet project specifications and aesthetic standards.
Install and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings.
Execute masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete various construction tasks.
Fabricate components on-site as required for customised project needs.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in multiple trades such as joinery, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or welding.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials safely and work at heights when necessary.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory.
