Full job description

Job Overview

Due to company growth we are looking to recruit a reliable and experienced Accounts Manager to join our growing flamboyant team in Durham City Centre. We are rapidly becoming one of the largest student letting companies in the area and are looking to expand our accounts team to accommodate the growth. The desired candidate will have vast knowledge using Sage Line 50 and be able to use their initiative to work alone as well as be the first point of contact for all members of the accounts team.

You will be required to report to the COO and CEO with the financial data of 8 companies, all within the same sector, on a regular basis and identify any areas in which efficiency can be improved.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the financial health and growth of our organization.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Review, reconcile and post transactions from completion statements received from Company Solicitors in relation to new property purchases
Implement and monitor cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenses.
Lead financial accounting activities using Sage Line 50, including ledger management, reconciliations, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide leadership to finance team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
Develop comprehensive financial reports for senior management, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
Support financial planning initiatives by analysing trends, preparing forecasts, and advising on fiscal strategies.

Skills and experience

Ability to work under pressure
Excellent accuracy skills
Supportive when rectifying staff queries
Able to 'think outside the box'
Vast knowledge of Sage Line 50 & Microsoft Excel

Pay: £45,000.00 per year
