Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the bakery operations by assisting in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods. This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for baking and a keen interest to learn. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our products meet high standards of quality and safety.

Days are Monday to Saturday. Monday to Friday approx 5am -12pm and Saturdays approx 3am to 8am. Please note this is NOT a seasonal position and therefore is NOT suitable for students.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for baking, including measuring, mixing, and weighing.
Support bakers in the production of various baked goods such as bread, cakes and pasties.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
Assist in the production of pasties.

Skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced bakery environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for baking and willingness to learn new techniques.
