Parish Nurse Vacancy - Part Time

St Goran Church, and St Michael Caerhays in partnership with Bodmin Way Social Enterprise, is seeking to employ a Registered Nurse for the position of Parish Nurse in this beautiful part of south Cornwall, near Mevagissey.

One day per week or equivalent (7.5 hours)
Salary: £6774 per annum for part-time hours (FTE £33,872.50 £17.37 per hour)
Closing Date: Monday 3 August 2026, 10am
Interview Date: Thursday 6 August

We recruited the first Parish Nurse in Cornwall in October 2018. After nearly seven years of excellent work our previous Parish Nurse has left to pursue other opportunities.

The Parish Nurse will work in conjunction with, and be supported by, Parish Nursing Ministries UK. They will be part of the Bodmin Way Parish Nursing team. Bodmin Way is a Social Enterprise which employs, supports and enables parish nurses in a number of communities across Cornwall.

Our Parish Nurse will help people in our communities achieve optimum health and wellbeing, work with our Pastoral Care Team and liaise with our local surgery, Health Visitors, Statutory Agencies and Voluntary Services.

The role includes: Supporting independence and improving quality of life by offering advice and care to individuals and groups, home visits, organising health education events, assisting access to health, statutory services and other agencies and supporting spouses/partners and carers.

It is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a Christian and, in conjunction with the Rector to, identify and meet the spiritual needs of individuals where appropriate.

This appointment is subject to an acceptable pre-appointment check, including an Enhanced DBS with Barred List check.
