Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, manage food production, and inspire a team of kitchen staff. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food safety, presentation, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
Develop and refine menus in collaboration with management, ensuring variety and quality
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations
Train and mentor team members to enhance their culinary skills and professional development
Ensure timely delivery of dishes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold a safe working environment

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Extensive culinary knowledge with the ability to innovate and adapt recipes as needed
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Leadership qualities that motivate and inspire team members
Knowledge of restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles
Previous experience in hospitality or catering environments is highly desirable
