Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Supervisor to support the educational and developmental needs of children within our learning environment.

This role is suited to someone with a strong understanding of academic standards, who can work confidently with both primary and secondary students, while also supporting tutors and helping maintain a well-run learning environment.

The successful candidate will play a vital part in assisting teachers, supervising classroom activities, and providing personalised support to ensure every child's success.

Prior experience in experience working in an educational or teaching environment with students and teachers is highly desirable.

This role would suit someone with previous experience as a:

Teaching Assistant
Classroom Supervisor
Learning Mentor
Pastoral Support Assistant
Tuition Centre Assistant
School Administrator with experience supporting teaching staff and students

This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute positively to children's learning journeys while developing professional skills within an educational setting.

Main responsibilities:

Supporting the running of classes across the centre
Helping maintain strong classroom structure and routines
Encouraging and supporting students with focus, behaviour and motivation
Assisting tutors and acting as a professional support within lessons
Helping organise student records, paperwork and learning materials
Completing some admin and organisational work from home

Essential requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an educational or teaching environment with students and teachers
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence working with both primary and secondary age groups
A professional, dependable and proactive approach
Good written and spoken communication
A genuine interest in education and helping students succeed

Job Type: Part-time

Hours:

Saturday: 9:30am–6:30pm
Sunday: 2:30pm–6:35pm
Plus a few hours per week working from home
Potential for additional days from August

There is potential for more working days from August for the right person.

Please note: this role is best suited to candidates with solid previous experience in a school, tuition centre or structured learning environment. We are looking for someone who can step into the role with confidence, professionalism and good judgement.

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
