Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our growing construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing the projects started by other directly employed trades, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications after an insurance peril event.

Though based in Northampton travel to is frequent, up to an hour and a half from the office.

Vehicle, fuel, uniform and company phone all provided. Any requirement to stay away (infrequently) is paid for in addition to a food allowance on top of salary.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail
Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding to achieve desired effects
Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand decorating requirements and provide expert advice
Maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety protocols at all times
Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Drive company vehicles to various job sites as needed, ensuring timely arrival and departure

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
Valid driving license with reliable transportation to access multiple work sites
Fluency in English for clear communication with team members and clients
Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks effectively and understand project specifications
Familiarity with safety procedures related to working at heights and handling hazardous materials is preferred
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of different painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and decorating styles

Salary dependent on experience

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
