Must have experience in fitting tyres
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working with hand and power tools. This role involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres for various vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform tyre installations, repairs, and rotations on a variety of vehicles.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tyres to identify wear and damage.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Assist customers with tyre-related inquiries and provide recommendations based on their needs.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Lift heavy tyres and equipment as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Keep accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
Experience
- Previous experience as a tyre technician is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues related to tyres and vehicles.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in tyre servicing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques in the automotive field.
- Must be polite and respectful to fellow staff and customers
