We are looking for a reliable and motivated Category C HGV Driver to join our transport team at our Welshpool depot.
This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team where you will be valued as part of the operation. You’ll be working closely with a Driver’s Mate on most HGV routes, meaning you’re not expected to handle the larger and heavier deliveries on your own.

The Role
As a Category C HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and professional delivery of wines, beers, minerals, kegs and casks to our trade customers.
This is much more than simply driving from A to B. Our drivers provide an important customer service role, delivering stock directly into customers' premises and, where required, positioning products in cellars and other storage areas.
You will also be responsible for collecting empty kegs and casks and ensuring your vehicle is safely loaded and secured before leaving the depot.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Driving Category C HGV vehicles safely and responsibly
- Delivering drinks products to pubs, restaurants, hotels and other trade customers
- Working alongside a Driver’s Mate on most larger HGV delivery rounds
- Safely handling cases, kegs and casks
- Positioning stock in customer cellars and designated storage areas
- Collecting empty kegs and casks
- Loading and securing your vehicle correctly
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
- Occasionally driving delivery vans when route requirements dictate
Training & Support
You don't need to be an expert in cellar deliveries or keg handling when you join us. Full training will be provided, including safe cellar positioning, vehicle loading and unloading, and keg and cask handling.
You'll be joining an experienced transport team with plenty of support around you, and on most larger rounds you'll have a Driver’s Mate working alongside you.
What We're Looking For
You will need:
- A valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence
- An up-to-date Driver CPC
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A good level of physical fitness, as the role involves regular manual handling
- A professional and friendly attitude
- Good customer service skills
- A reliable and responsible approach to work
- The ability to work well as part of a team
