Full job description

Receptionist/Administrator

We are a busy town centre GP practice with approximately 13,800 patients across two sites. As a training practice with our own in-house dispensary, we provide a wide range of services and pride ourselves on delivering excellent patient care at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking to recruit an additional Receptionist/Administrator to join our established and supportive team.

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of duties, including:

Covering reception at both practice sites
Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
Assisting with the triage of online patient requests
Processing incoming patient correspondence and ensuring records are updated accurately and promptly
Providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice

The position is for approximately 30 hours per week, worked over 4 or 5 days, although we will consider 3 longer working days for the right candidate.

Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to help cover annual leave and sickness absence to ensure our services remain fully staffed and operational. The practice is open from 8:00am to 6:30pm, and your agreed hours will fall within these times. Working hours will generally remain fixed each week, except where additional cover is required.
