Audiology Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Audiology Administrator with the opportunity to train and become a qualified Audiology Practitioner - Wax Removal Specialist.

This role combines clinical, sales, and administrative responsibilities, supporting patients throughout their hearing care journey while maintaining the highest administrative standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Audiology department and, following training and qualification, running their own wax removal clinics. The Practitioner will also carry out hearing screenings, promote our products and services, and generate new leads for comprehensive hearing assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

Take personal ownership of administrative duties, including but not limited to:

Patient correspondence.
Appointment confirmations.
Audiology appointment triaging and clinic management.
Post and document handling.
Coordination of hearing aid repairs and maintenance.
Ordering stock and clinic supplies.

Clinical Duties

Independently run audiology clinic sessions in line with company protocols and best practice standards.
Conduct hearing screenings and basic audiology service appointments.
Identify potential abnormalities and refer patients appropriately in collaboration with a supervising clinician.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and clinical excellence always.
Maintain accurate, compliant, and up-to-date clinical records.

Patient Care & Engagement

Communicate clearly and professionally with patients about hearing health and available solutions.
Introduce and explain hearing aid products and services to prospective patients.
Generate interest in hearing solutions and arrange follow-up consultations for comprehensive hearing assessments.
Deliver a positive, empathetic, and informative patient experience.

Compliance & Professional Development

Work in accordance with regulatory standards, company policies, and clinical governance requirements.
Keep up to date with developments in audiology practice, technology, and industry standards.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to maintain high-quality patient care and service delivery.

Key Skills & Experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and confidently within a clinic environment.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong record-keeping and administrative abilities.
A proactive, patient-focused, and customer-oriented approach.
Willingness to learn, develop, and take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves, including:
Hearing aid fittings.
Patient triage and case history taking.
Additional audiology procedures and services as required.
