The Bobbin – Aberdeen

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience) + tips

About Us

The Bobbin is one of Aberdeen's busiest student pubs, serving quality pub food in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for experienced Kitchen Team Members and Line Chefs who can confidently work in a busy commercial kitchen while consistently producing high-quality food and maintaining excellent food safety standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to specification, maintaining high presentation standards, and ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen quickly and consistently. You'll work as part of a professional kitchen team during busy service periods while maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present food to company specifications.
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
Work efficiently during busy service periods.
Follow all food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety procedures.
Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and waste control.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Work closely with the management and front of house team to ensure excellent service.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Previous experience working in a busy commercial kitchen.
Ability to work confidently on all kitchen sections after training on our menu.
Good understanding of food hygiene and HACCP procedures.
Ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
Available to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.

Desirable:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
Experience in branded pub, bar or casual dining kitchens.
Grill, fryer and pass experience.
