Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Pot Wash / Kitchen Porter, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring all dishes, cookware, and utensils are impeccably cleaned and sanitized. Your proactive approach will support chefs and kitchen staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Efficiently wash, scrub, and sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support the culinary team.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by sweeping floors, emptying trash bins, and organizing storage areas regularly.
Support the setup and breakdown of workstations during service periods to ensure smooth operations.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to promote a safe working environment for all team members.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean equipment and supplies.
Assist with receiving deliveries and storing supplies properly when needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks comfortably.
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety procedures.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues.
Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to hygiene standards at all times.

Must bet 18 + due to working hours.
