Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive environment that promotes growth and development. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners, working closely with pupils, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored educational programmes. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about special education and child development.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement personalised learning plans for children with special educational needs, including those requiring speech therapy, behavioural support, or physical education adaptations.
Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects such as Maths, English and ensuring accessibility for all pupils.
Utilise behaviour management strategies to promote positive conduct and support social-emotional development.
Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to integrate therapeutic goals into daily activities.
Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
Provide mentoring and emotional support to pupils to foster confidence and independence.
Maintain accurate records of pupil achievements and behaviour, ensuring compliance with school policies.
Support inclusive classroom environments by proofreading educational materials and adapting resources as needed.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to special education techniques such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and tutoring strategies.
Prepared to teach outside the classroom in a variety of workplaces.

Skills

Proven experience or strong interest in working with children with special educational needs.
Knowledge Graduated learning and other management strategies.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
Strong organisational skills for planning lessons and maintaining accurate records.
Passion for mentoring young learners and supporting their holistic development.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
