Full job description

Joel Cleaning Services is an established and growing commercial cleaning company, and we're looking for an organised, proactive and adaptable person to join our team as an Operations & Administration Coordinator.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of the business. We're looking for someone who enjoys organising, solving problems and dealing with people, but who is also happy to get out of the office and help with the practical side of the business when needed.

No two days are likely to be exactly the same!

The role will include:

Supporting recruitment, including posting vacancies, managing applications and arranging interviews
HR administration including new starter paperwork, references and onboarding
Assisting with employee scheduling and arranging holiday and sickness cover
Maintaining employee, client and operational records
Updating and maintaining our scheduling and management systems
Responding to routine client and employee enquiries
Liaising with our cleaning teams and supervisors
Helping to coordinate site visits, audits and other operational requirements
Attending client sites when required
Coordinating stock, equipment repairs and supplier collections
Taking photographs and videos for business and social media use
Assisting with basic social media content
Providing general administrative and practical support across the business
Very occasional emergency cleaning cover where necessary

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Is highly organised, reliable and able to prioritise their own workload
Is confident communicating with clients, employees and suppliers
Has excellent attention to detail
Is comfortable using technology and learning new systems
Has good written and verbal communication skills
Is practical, adaptable and willing to get involved
Is able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Has a full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Previous experience in administration, operations, recruitment or HR would be beneficial, although experience within the cleaning industry isn't essential.

For us, attitude is just as important as experience. We're looking for someone who sees something that needs doing and takes responsibility for getting it sorted.

About Joel Cleaning Services

Joel Cleaning Services is an independent commercial cleaning company established in 2011. We provide cleaning services to offices, schools and other commercial premises, supported by a directly employed cleaning team and supervisors.

We're a growing business with a friendly, practical approach, and this is a new role that will work closely with the company director and become an important part of our day-to-day operations.

Hours: 15 hours per week across Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Location: Office-based with occasional travel to client sites
