Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. In this vital role, you will support the kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your energy and dedication will contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen environment, helping us serve delicious meals efficiently and safely.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure smooth cooking processes.
Support chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks, including assembling dishes and portioning ingredients accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by cleaning work surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly.
Ensure proper storage of food items according to safety regulations to prevent spoilage and contamination.
Help with serving food during meal times, ensuring presentation is appealing and customer needs are met promptly.
Monitor food safety protocols, including proper handling of raw ingredients and adherence to sanitation guidelines.
Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying staff of low stock levels.

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards.
Experience with meal assembly, food safety practices, and serving in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.
Basic culinary skills complemented by a passion for creating quality meals and supporting kitchen operations.
Knowledge of health regulations related to food safety and sanitation is preferred.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
