Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 3.5 Tonne Driver with the ability to tow to join our family business driving a Mercedes sprinter flatbed pickup. Bonus if they have a 7.5t/Class 2/Class 1 licence. Would suit someone looking to slow down from full time driving and doesn't want a full working week but is available Monday to Friday when required.

Duties

Operate a 3.5t pickup for the transportation of goods.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers/customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence (3.5t with towing, 7.5 Tonne or class 1/2)
Tachograph Card
Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Pay

£13 per hour flat rate (average 35-40 hours per week)
