Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Cafe All Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialised coffee drinks, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches, salads, and baked goods
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter or table, providing friendly and attentive service
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including clearing tables, cleaning surfaces, and washing dishes
- Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Support team members during busy periods by stepping into different roles as required
- Ensure the café environment remains welcoming, organised, and safe for both staff and customers
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to coffee making
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness
- Basic food preparation skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management to prioritise duties during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing demands throughout shifts
