Job Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Barista and become the heart of our welcoming coffee shop environment! In this dynamic role, you will craft delicious beverages, serve customers with enthusiasm, and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service while working in a fast-paced, friendly setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
Engage with customers warmly, taking orders and providing excellent service to ensure satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and serving counters
Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold health standards and ensure product quality
Handle cash register transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for change and totals
Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light menu items when needed
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and efficiently

Requirements

Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe environment
Ability to serve customers with friendliness, patience, and professionalism
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks involved in food preparation and service
A positive attitude with excellent communication skills to contribute to a lively team atmosphere
