Are you a seasoned waiter with a passion for exceptional service and a love for fine wines?

Humble Grape, an award-winning wine bar and restaurant located just off the vibrant Clapham Junction is seeking an experienced waiter to join our dynamic team. If you have a keen eye for detail, a warm and welcoming demeanour, and a desire to be part of a vibrant and growing establishment, we want to hear from you!

Our curated selection of wines is complemented by a thoughtfully crafted menu that showcases seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. We take pride in creating an atmosphere where our guests can indulge in a memorable dining experience that reflects our passion for both wine and food.

Position: Experienced Waiter with Wine Knowledge

Key Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
Provide exceptional table service by taking orders, serving food, and suggesting wines from over 450 lines from 18 countries.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of our wine offerings and assist guests in making informed wine choices.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring the dining area is tidy and set up appropriately.
Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
Upsell wine options and promote special offerings to enhance the guest experience.
Process payments accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a waiter in a high-quality dining establishment.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of wines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Impeccable grooming and presentation.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
