A day in the life of…

As our Hotel Reservations Coordinator you’ll be responsible for overseeing the reservations process from start to finish for our guests. You’ll work to ensure that guests have a seamless experience when booking their accommodations and that all reservations are accurate and up to date.

This includes managing reservation systems, communicating with guests and other departments within the hotel, and ensuring that all reservations are properly documented. You’ll be responsible for managing room inventory and rates, as well as overseeing the work of reservation agents and other staff members.

What do we need from you?

Extensive experience in creating and implementing strategies that drive success.
Excellent communication skills: You’ll have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders, team members, and customers and able to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Analytical and problem-solving skills: You’ll need to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement solutions. You should be able to use data to make informed decisions.
Attention to detail: You will have a keen eye for detail able to review reservations and ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date. You’ll be able to identify and resolve any issues that may arise and analyse complex data
Industry experience: You’ll need to have extensive industry experience to understand the specific challenges and opportunities within the hotel and develop strategies to drive success. You should also have a deep understanding of the industry's regulations and compliance requirements.

The Mercure Nottingham Sherwood is perfectly positioned for leisure trips and city breaks. The hotel is just over a mile from Nottingham City Centre, so you can get there in less than 10 minutes by car. Interiors are inspired by the city's historic Lace Market, today a retail and dining destination. Head to the onsite gym or unwind in the heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room. Hungry? Head to the hotel's bar-restaurant for delicious dinner and drinks options in a relaxing setting.
