The Role
As Deputy Manager you will play a key role in leading the team and ensuring excellent standards across the service. You will be responsible for overseeing, mentoring staff, supporting compliance with regulatory standards, and ensuring residents receive safe, effective and compassionate care.
You will work closely with the Home Manager, and wider multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice and continuously improve the quality of care provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred nursing care.
- Support the Home Manager in maintaining CQC compliance and governance standards.
- Oversee and review care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation.
- Monitor and manage incidents, safeguarding and medication management.
- Lead on audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide supervision, support and mentorship to staff.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, district nurses, allied health professionals and families.
- Promote a positive culture focused on resident wellbeing and dignity.
- Support training and development to ensure staff remain competent and confident in clinical practice.
About You

Essential:
- Experience working within a care home or elderly care setting
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to high standards of care and continuous improvement
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a Deputy role
- Experience supporting CQC inspections and governance processes
- Knowledge of dementia care best practice
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,591.40 per year
