Summary
Our business has had a strong recent history of growth. We now need a Business Performance Manager to help us continue this journey and support us in making the right commercial decisions. We are now looking for an analytical thinker to join the business and provide valuable insights to support key future business decisions.
You will work closely with the senior management team and work across all aspects of the business. You'll become an expert in the performance of our operation and the team, uncovering impactful opportunities, developing business cases to make strategic decisions and owning internal and external reporting.
This role requires a proactive approach to managing complex datasets, building impactful dashboards, championing AI and providing stakeholders with the information they need to drive growth and operational success.
Responsibilities
Enabling data-backed decision making: Proactively conduct analysis to uncover opportunities, identify trends, and support key decision-making.
Internal & external reporting: End-to-end ownership of our internal and external reporting, ensuring the team have access to high quality insights.
Growth and improvement: Building and refining business cases to make educated strategic decisions.
Information Leadership: Equip the team with the insight and knowledge to make the right decisions first time.
Team performance: Be all over our team KPIs (financial and commercial), understanding where we are on track or missing the mark, working with the senior management team to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
Manage our Dealer Operating Standards (DOS) programme, attending all audits and supporting the depot managers through the process. Maintaining the highest standards across all West Pennine Trucks workshops.
Provide operational support to depot managers and work in conjunction with our services manager to maintain consistent customer first focus in line with our company values.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Experience in data analytics: Proven track record in analytics, driving demonstrable change in fast-paced environments.
Excellent technical skills: Experience in tools to query, manipulate and visualise data i.e., SQL, Excel & PBI. Also an understanding of AI applications.
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills: Ability to analyse information, identify trends, and translate data into actionable insights. A keen attention to detail is required.
Excellent communication & relationship management: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build effective relationships with internal teams.
Adaptability & organisational skills: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment with diverse business areas facing their own unique challenges.
An understanding of commercial vehicle workshops and the compliance needs of our growing customer base.
Understanding of key commercial functions including; service, parts, sales and contracts.
Work alongside our Services Director to implement new manufacturer requirements within the aftersales business.
