Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior sous chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking processes, adhering to established recipes and standards
- Support the supervision of food production activities to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Help manage kitchen operations, including organising ingredients and maintaining cleanliness
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences for guests
- Assist in training junior staff and ensuring team members follow health and safety regulations
- Support senior chefs in managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Participate in the development of new menu items and culinary initiatives
Experience
- Supervising experience within a food production or hospitality environment is preferred
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management
- Experience working in restaurants or catering services is highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and hospitality operations
- Previous experience serving guests or customers in a fast-paced setting is beneficial
