Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring prompt delivery
- Assist with food preparation and presentation when required
- Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in all areas of the front of house
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing genuine recommendations
- Manage table reservations and optimise seating arrangements for efficiency
- Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
- Uphold the organisation’s standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is advantageous
- Experience in serving or food preparation roles will be beneficial
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and cash management are required
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
