Overview
We are seeking a female compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide high-quality support to individuals in Domiciliary care csetting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care, including seniors and individuals with specific health needs. This role requires a blend of practical skills, empathy, and a willingness to learn and adapt to the unique requirements of each client.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Support individuals with Alzheimers and dementia care, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
Skills
- Experience in domiciliary care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid and caregiving techniques.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles and behaviour management strategies.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client support.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence and own car
