An opportunity has arisen for a CNC machinist/Engineer to work with a growing family run engineering company. We strive to supply quality, on time parts and services to local and national companies, whilst creating a friendly atmosphere.
The successful candidate will be capable of working to engineering drawings using calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection equipment, and will be working predominantly on an XYZ Proturn, although we will be looking to upskill you to programming vertical machining centres (3 & 5 axis) over time.
As we are a diverse company, we may ask you to help out in other areas from time to time, such as stripping/assembling mechanical components, machining and reassembling, or running a CNC machine, for which training can be provided where necessary.
Experience:
- Proficiency in using CNC lathes is necessary, and any other experience in manual turning/milling/CNC programming is advantageous
- Ability to work with various tooling equipment
- Good understanding of maths
- Good understanding of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, arms etc.
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred but not essential
Good rate of pay, negotiable dependant upon experience
Good work ethic, punctuality, and willingness are rewarded with an annual bonus and monthly KPI's.
