Qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:
We are looking for a qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school team in Workington. This is a full-time position working across our Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting teachers and pupils to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.
For the right candidate, there is scope for this role to go from temporary to permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality EYFS provision.
- Assist with planning and preparing engaging activities.
- Provide individual and small group support to children, including those with additional needs.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to observations and assessments.
- Work collaboratively with staff and parents to support children’s development.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent).
- Valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Professional experience working with children in an educational setting.
