For over 20 years, York Cares has been committed to helping local communities thrive. Our projects respond to the city where it needs us most, inspiring young and out-of-work people to reach their full potential, tackling social isolation, and supporting urban green spaces across York. Working in partnership with over 30 of the city’s leading employers, our collaborative approach brings local employee-volunteers together to make York a better place to live and work. Our charity is based in the Careers and Placements department at the University of York.

The role involves close liaison with employers, schools, and community partners to develop opportunities and recruit employee-volunteers, whilst managing vital administration regarding safeguarding and health and safety.
This role is fixed term for 12 months.
