Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the Head Chef and other team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces, ensuring smooth operation
- Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials
- Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene standards in line with legal requirements
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a busy kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience working in a restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required
