Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our Scrap Metal Recycling team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety .
This role requires driving various Class 2 wagons including RoRo’s and Skip Trucks and a Flatbed . As a HGV Driver you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our deliveries/ collections meet customer expectations and are executed with professionalism.
Duties
- Operate various Class 2 lorries including RoRo’s , Skips & Flatbeds
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with Transport regarding collection/ delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
Pay: From £14.50 per hour
