Mathnasium is a global company with over 1000 maths-only learning centres worldwide, which offers both maths help and enrichment to students through our unique combination of mental, oral, visual, tactile and written techniques. We teach maths to children for understanding, in a way that makes sense to them! Most importantly we make maths fun and grow children’s confidence.
Want to make a difference in a child’s life by passing on a love for maths? We are currently seeking Maths Instructors to work with students to achieve mastery of maths.
We have a number of tutor positions available, including a full-time position (greater need and potential for great career growth to Centre Director) and part-time positions, too. Full-time positions hours range from 20-24 hours and part-time is 8 hours+. For all positions, working Sundays will be mandatory (likely to be 10 am-1 pm).
Responsibilities:
- Administer Mathnasium curriculum.
- Deliver Mathnasium methodology with confidence and energy.
- Ensure continued student motivation, progression and mastery.
- Execute superior customer service.
- Professionally interact with students and parents.
- Communicate student progress to line manager.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Exceptional maths skills (minimum Maths A/A* or grade 7-9 at GCSE and/or Maths A at A-Level).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service focus.
- Energy and passion for working with students.
- Ability to professionally interact with students and parents.
- Energetic, fun and confident personality.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Preferred:
- Previous educational or tutoring experience.
- Strong A-Level Maths or Higher Education qualification.
Availability:
- Location: 777 Fulham Road, Fulham, SW6 5HA ( This is not a purely online vacancy, you will be required to teach in-centre).
- Opening hours: Mon-Thu 3.30 pm to 7.00 pm, Sat and Sun 10 am to 2 pm. Flexitime hours are available, too. Within reason.
- If you are unable to work the minimum hours (8 hours including Sundays) or can only work remotely we will not be able to consider your application.
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 9.0 – 20.0 per week
