We are looking for a reliable and organised Engineering Stores Person to join our team, this role is responsible for operating a smooth running engineering stores with stock, parts and equipment, ensuring parts are available when needed to support the engineering and production operations. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively. Previous Stores, Warehouse, or Engineering experience is desirable although full training can be provided for the right person.
Key responsibilities:
- Organise and structure the engineering stores to improve accessibility, efficiency, and control
- Manage stock levels, reorder points, and goods-in processes in line with site requirements.
- Issue parts efficiently to the engineering team.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure system integrity using stock management systems and MRP systems.
- Support ongoing improvements to stores layout, labelling, and categorisation, and goods-in processes
- Promote and maintain strong standards within the store’s environment.
- Liaise with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure critical spares availability.
- Conduct daily cycle counts on inventory to maintain accuracy. Maintain clear and consistent stock identification across all systems and physical locations.
- Carry out goods in and goods out processes, including receiving, inspecting, labelling and safely storing materials.
- Act as a professional onsite presence, supporting strong working relationships with the customer.
- Work with Wols management team to improve stores processes and daily operations.
About you:
· Experience in an engineering stores, MRO, or purchasing/stores control role (essential)
· Proven experience coordinating and maintaining stocks in a store.
· Proficient with inventory/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools (essential)
· Confident communicator who can liaise effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
· Proactive and solution-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
