Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation standards.
- Greet guests warmly and take drink orders accurately, ensuring prompt service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to food safety regulations.
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change.
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
- Engage with guests to create a friendly atmosphere, promoting repeat business.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or bar setting is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- A friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
