Some construction companies build projects.
We believe the best companies build trust, relationships and experiences people remember for the right reasons.
At AIM, we deliver heritage restorations, bespoke homes and complex refurbishments across Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and surrounding areas. Much of our work is deeply personal to the people we build for - which means how a project is managed matters as much as what gets built.
As we grow, we are looking for a Site Manager who understands that.
Not someone who simply manages labour and programmes. Someone who brings calm to a site, communicates before problems escalate, and takes ownership as a matter of course. Someone who can hold the confidence of clients, consultants and subcontractors simultaneously - and who recognises that in residential and heritage work, the people we work for are often emotionally invested in the outcome.
Our clients trust us with things that matter to them. That shapes everything about how we go to work.
The right person will likely be someone who:
-
Has led site operations with a genuine sense of responsibility, not just task management
-
Communicates proactively - not just when asked, or when something has gone wrong
-
Instinctively organises, documents and follows through
-
Reads people well and adjusts accordingly
-
Holds quality standards even when programmes are tight
-
Cares how a site looks, how meetings are run, and how they come across
Day-to-day, the role involves leading site operations, coordinating labour and subcontractors, managing programme and reporting on progress - alongside maintaining quality and health & safety standards across live projects.
But the part that will define whether this works is simpler than that: can you make clients feel confident, keep consultants informed, and ensure the people around you know what is happening and why?
AIM is a business built on conscientiousness, accountability and quiet pride in the work. We are not the right fit for everyone - but for the right person, this is a place where your contribution will be visible, your standards will be respected, and the work itself will be worth doing.
If this sounds like the right environment, we would love to hear from you.
